Designed the identity and exterior of Road Ambulance for the Road Construction Department (RCD) (Government of Bihar), with two other team members from NIFT Patna Campus. RCD launched a unique and ambitious project of Road Ambulance on the occasion of Republic Day- 26th Jan’14. A total of 76 such road ambulances were planned to operate on the state highways of Bihar to monitor and maintain the roads. Shri Nitish Kumar, Hon. Chief Minister of Bihar was very happy to see the design and praised this new initiative.
It is a very innovative concept and a first of its kind in our country. Primarily designed for immediate maintenance of the damaged road and immediate medical aid to distressed people on road. It is fitted with road maintenance equipment, stretches, first aid kits and utilises modern technology and navigation system for continuous monitoring. 76 of such vehicles ply on the roads of Bihar. It was launched on 26th of January 2014. NIFT Patna was entrusted to design the exterior for Road Ambulance.
Some of the consideration while designing the exterior were: low light visibility, ease of executing the design with traditional medium and use of local languages.
Many design alternatives was made keeping these major requirements into considerations.
Each design alternatives were evaluated for its appropriateness to the purpose of use. And after many iterations the final design looked like:

Design Brief: Client approached with a brief that they intend to register 4 different trademarks. Namely: Indian Luxury Association, Luxury Association of India, Indian Luxury Society and Luxury Society of India. It should relate to exclusive fashion as it would be used to bring different fashion, jewellery and lifestyle brands under its ambit.
Approach: Requirement was for 4 distinct Logotypes that would be owned by the same organisation. They should be distinct from one another and still be unified in certain way. And it should also relate to exclusivity.
After researching many luxury brands and exploring many different ideas, I decided to approach it through typeface design.
What should be the characteristics of a typeface for a Luxury brand?
It should be distinct. It should be bold. It should be relaxed and aesthetically pleasing. And since it would be used to represent a group of organisation, it should be neutral. Working on these ideas led to the design of new letterforms keeping the proportions in golden ratio. These letterforms was then used to design and develop 4 distinct logotypes.
